If you’re looking to kickstart your weekend with some of the best titles on OTT platforms, then we’ve got your back. Here are five shows and movies for you to watch on SunNXT, Netflix and Lionsgate Play:
Even though I was tempted to add Ricky Gervais’ popular show Afterlife, Derek outdoes everything in terms of warmth and is a show that is the Netflix equivalent of a warm blanket on a cold evening. Derek is about an innocent and tender man, played by Ricky Gervais who takes care of elders in an old age home. But his personality makes him empathetic towards the elders with whom he shares a special bond.

Wrath of Man is an adrenaline shot for action junkies and with a solid storyline, it does enough to keep the audience hooked throughout all the fights and chases. The story follows a security guard who surprises his co-workers one day when he unleashes his marksman-like skills during a heist. But his intentions are slowly revealed that he is looking to settle scores and will not back down until he does. Wrath of Man stars Jason Statham and Scott Eastwood in lead roles.
Sanya Malhotra has acted brilliantly in this dark comedy that deals with grief and talks about a woman who has just suffered the death of her beloved partner and deals with it in her own way. Pagglait has its humor but mixed with a lot of heart, this movie will definitely make for a stirring watch.

Anjaam Pathiraa — which translates to fifth night — is a riveting crime thriller that has a criminologist working with the Kerala Police to catch a serial killer. Police Officers are being killed one by one under the most mysterious circumstances and with pressure mounting on the investigation team to catch the serial killer, will the team be able to catch the perpetrator before another Police Officer is killed? Anjaam Pathiraa stars Kunjacko Boban, Sreenath Basi and Unnimaya Prasad in lead roles.

This Japanese film about a group of people who choose to live as a family is all heart. While they may be so poor that they are virtually invisible, this group of individuals who live under one roof and have to resort to peculiar ways to survive shares a unique bond. The film is stunning with visuals that make you feel like you’re just watching a few people from a distance and is a true delight to catch on Netflix.
