Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen, 47, received mixed messages from viewers as she sat down for a chat with Lorraine Kelly, 62. The Yorkshire Shepherdess and TV personality discussed a wide range of topics on the latter’s self-titled ITV show.
However, Amanda’s outfit choice prompted division amongst fans.
Some heaped praise on the style, while others thought it was a bit too “showbiz” for the down to earth shepherdess.
Taking to Twitter to discuss Amanda’s appearance, Nicola93480947 tweeted: “Just watching you live on Lorraine on ITV. You look lovely.”
Mrdanleslie argued: “The #YorkshireShepherdess is looking very ‘showbiz’ now @lorraine.”

During the candid conversation, Amanda described reaching a “low point” on Ravenseat Farm recently.
The TV star explained how Storm Arwen left her, her husband Clive, and their nine kids without water or electricity.
Amanda said: “The storm has played such a big part this last week.”
“What with the weather we have had…,” Amanda continued, adding: “We’ve had no electricity, no water.”

Lorraine enquired: “How did you get on with that storm? Were you OK?”
The Our Yorkshire Farm star said: “Well we are OK because we are all here.
“But it had its high points and low points. I think the low point was when tea was actually fried eggs and champagne.
“Being plunged into darkness, sub zero temperatures.”

Last week, Amanda issued a plea to Times Radio listeners asking for the public to support farmers.
During an interview with Mariella Frostrup, Amanda was asked whether people took formers for granted.
She explained: “Even people who didn’t call themselves countryfied or outdoorsy have actually realised what they’ve been missing when they have been trapped indoors.
“I am hoping there can be a deeper look at what the countryside can provide you with, whether that is in way of diet or in way of pleasure you can take from walking outdoors.
“And I feel like it doesn’t matter how the message is put out there, I think there are a lot of angry people out there who want to get shouty and I am not that person.
“Quite often people will say, ‘Oh my gosh you must hate vegetarians or anyone who lives a vegan lifestyle’, but I say, ‘No, absolutely not’.
“We have to have an awareness of our diet and what we eat so we need to look at the full picture of what’s on your plate and where it came from and how it’s been farmed.”
The star added: “There are too many people taking soundbites and not enough information.”
