I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Naughty Boy has received a lot of backlash from the public, but one former I’m A Celeb star has jumped to his defence. Ex-campmate Nicola McLean has slammed presenters Ant and Dec, alongside his fellow campmates, for the way they have treated the DJ on their ITV show.
Glamour model Nicola, 40, was once a contestant on I’m A Celeb back in 2008.
The star gave her unfiltered opinions of how members of the show have been treating contestant Naughty Boy this year in her latest column.
One of her complaints was aimed towards presenters Ant and Dec, whom she felt had acted “unfairly” towards him.
Speaking about the music producer’s Wednesday night Bushtucker Trial, she said: “They were saying he only needs to be in there for 30 seconds or 60 seconds but they didn’t take the snakes or the other things out. They were with him for the whole time!

“And I thought that Adam Woodyatt and Simon Gregson were quite dismissive of him. I don’t know whether that’s just me and whether I’m being extra defensive, but I felt like they were.”
She continued: “And Ant and Dec as well, like when Arlene kept dropping the stars and they really gave her so much help, but when I was in there, my husband actually tweeted because they help some people and not help others.
“And I felt like they gave Arlene such an unfair amount of help but they were just like ‘close your mouth, Naughty Boy’.
“And saying ‘which is a good thing for us’. Don’t get me wrong, I know that’s funny, but it’s kinda not at the same time,” she ranted in her column for The Daily Star.

Nicola went on to suggest that Naughty Boy has been seen as the “annoying brother” of the group, adding that there seemed to be a lot of “eye rolling” when he was around.
The star went on to talk about the DJ’s run in with Paralympian Kadeena Cox, insisting that he was “in the right”.
She said: “She was wrong and he was right. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t that big of a deal but I feel like he stepped up to be a chef and he’s good at it. So, just leave him alone!”
She went on to suggest that Naughty Boy has been cast as the “annoying one” of the camp and expressed her sympathies that he was the only person they “all have a dig at”.

Naughty Boy has certainly left ITV viewers divided, with some even calling for him to be removed from the Welsh castle because he constantly keeps threatening to leave.
Last night, the music producer and co-star Frankie Bridge faced a gruesome music-themed trial, Scary-Oke.
Ant and Dec told the pair that one celebrity would need to sing while being gunged and pelted with guts and other items – including Yum Yums.
Meanwhile, the other had to down a blended drink – before taking it in turns.

They completed the challenge with 10 of the 11 possible stars after Frankie struggled to finish her final drink.
In a preview clip of tonight’s programme, Naughty Boy is set to take on another trial with Matty Lee.
The clip shows the Olympian crawling through a dark tunnel trying to find stars while Naughty Boy has to put his hand in a hole filled with creepy crawlies.#
