Another weekend is almost here. This is the perfect time to catch up on all the movies on Netflix you missed during the week. What’s on this weekend?
It’s that time of the week again where you’re just winding down for the weekend. You want to spend the time chilling out with the family and watching all the movies on Netflix that you missed.
There are some great TV shows from the week, whether you need the next installment of Tiger King or you’re looking for something fun for the kids like Dogs in Space, but you may not have time for them. You have time for a movie or two.
There was a fair amount of releases this week. Don’t get overwhelmed by the full list by picking these top movies.
Extinct
We start the list with an animated movie that is perfect for the whole family. Two animals go on a time-traveling journey to learn the worst news ever. They will go extinct in the future, and now they need to make changes to ensure that doesn’t happen. It’s a fun little ride for the kids, and the movie is certainly bright and colorful!
Procession
If documentaries are more your thing, there is one on Netflix to check out this weekend. We’ve heard a lot about the injustices within the Catholic church. A lot of it is about sexual abuse, but there’s also the connection to the Reservation schools.
Procession focuses on the sexual abuse many have faced. A group of survivors go up against the Catholic church to seek justice. It’s going to be a hard watch, but it’s also an important one.
The Fable
It’s time for an action-comedy. There are two movies on Netflix to check out this weekend within the same franchise. It all starts with The Fable. The sequel is called The Fable: The Killer Who Doesn’t Kill.
The movies follow a mob hitman who is ordered to become a law-abiding citizen. That brings its own challenges, but in the sequel, he needs to protect a young woman without being allowed to kill.
The Princess Switch 3
If you loved The Princess Switch and its sequel, you’ll be interested in the next movie on our list. The Princess Switch 3 is here. Vanessa Hudgens returns, but this time she’s not going to be yet another lookalike character. We just get the three characters already established in the franchise.
This time, a priceless Christmas relic has been stolen. Margaret and Stacy turn to Fiona and her ex to help. Of course, there’s some switching going on.
Tick, Tick…Boom!
The last of the movies on Netflix to watch this weekend is one that comes from Hamilton‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda. Andrew Garfield stars as a man about to turn 30. He needs to come to terms with his current position in life.
Like Hamilton, the movie is based on a true story. This one follows Jonathan Larson, who wrote Rent, one of the biggest Broadway musicals of today. This is the story of how Rent came to be.
